NOTE: This

At the website,
click on the drop-down arrow in the box under "Payment Type" and choose what
you are paying. Then click "Continue" again, and follow the rest of the
prompts.
The system will tell you the total of your payment including
the appropriate fee, obtain approval of the charge, and issue an onscreen
confirmation number and a printable digital receipt. Confirmation is e-mailed
to users who request it. The charge will also appear on your credit card
statement; the tax amount on one line, the convenience fee amount on a separate

payment falls on you, the taxpayer, whether or not you are eligible to make
payment through this website and whether or not you received your original tax
bill(s).
- Failure to receive a bill does
not exempt you from the payment of all taxes and all interest charges and
collection costs. Connecticut State Statute 12-130 states failure to
receive a bill does not invalidate the tax.
- Payments made will be applied
to the oldest tax year first, as required by Connecticut State Statute 12-144b.

IMPORTANT! When paying motor vehicle bills, use the
numbers 03 in place of the letters MV when entering your tax
number.
