Stonecroft Village Improvements – Public Housing Modernization – Invitation to Bid

 INVITATION TO BID

 

Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received, publicly opened, and announced on behalf of the Housing Authority of the Town of Hebron, CT at 10:30 a.m., on Friday, August 31st, 2018 in the Town Office Lower Level Meeting Room, Town of Hebron, 15 Gilead Street, Hebron, CT, 06248.  Proposals are to be submitted on the forms provided and in a sealed envelope plainly marked with the appropriate title, “Stonecroft Village Improvements—Public Housing Modernization” to the attention of: Andy Tierney, Town Manager, Town of Hebron, 15 Gilead Street, Hebron, CT 06248.

This is a re-bid of a federally funded project.  The project requires payment of Davis-Bacon wages, minority and small business compliance, and compliance with other local, state, and federal requirements. Project scope for the Hebron Housing Authority Stonecroft Village Project will include the following improvements:  roof, roof venting, gutters, and corridor entry doors will be replaced on each of the six buildings.  Site drainage improvements will be provided.  New rear corridor walkways will be installed.  Alternates include miscellaneous interior and exterior doors and hardware replacement; community trash enclosure replacement; additional unit exit walkways, and sidewalk ramp reconfiguration.

A mandatory pre-bid conference to review the project will be held at Stonecroft Community Room, Stonecroft Village, 14 Stonecroft Drive, Hebron, CT, 06248, on Wednesday, August 15th, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. 

A satisfactory Bid Bond or Certified Check, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid shall be submitted with each bid.  The Bid Bond shall be made payable to the Town of Hebron and shall be properly executed by the Bidder.  A 100% Performance, Labor and Material Bond is also required. 

The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids; to waive any informalities, or to accept any bid deemed in the best interests of the Owner.

All bids will be considered valid for a period of 30 days.

The Town of Hebron is seeking sealed proposals for the fire department for one Polaris Ranger XP 1000EPS  and other related equipment.  Bid documents are available at the Town Manager’s Office, Town Office Building, 15 Gilead Street, Hebron, Connecticut, 06248, or by calling 860 228-5971.

All proposals must be sealed and must be received at the Town Manager’s Office prior to the due date.  All proposals are due no later than Friday, August 31, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. in a sealed envelope and clearly marked “RFP # 2019-02 Hebron Fire Department Utility Vehicle” on the outside of the envelope.  The proposals will be opened publicly and read aloud at the Town Office Building.

The Town of Hebron will award the bid to a responsible bidder and reserves the right to waive any technical defects in the bids and to reject any bids which do not conform to the terms and conditions in the bid specifications.
