Motor Vehicle Supplemental Bills were mailed mid December and are due by 2/01/2017. Also, the 2nd installment for Real Estate is due. If you believe you should have received a bill and have not please contact our office. Below is a copy of our legal notice which will appear in the Rivereast:
TOWN OF HEBRON
TAX COLLECTOR’S LEGAL NOTICE
Supplemental Motor Vehicle and Real Estate (2nd Half) taxes levied on the Grand List of October 1, 2015 become due and payable on January 1, 2017. Taxes received/postmarked by February 1, 2017 will be considered timely. Payments not received/postmarked by February 1, 2017 will be subject to interest of 1.5% per month or 18 % annually from the due date in accordance with Connecticut General Statutes. Initial interest starting February 2nd is 3% of outstanding taxes with a minimum of $2.00 per tax bill. State Statute dictates that failure to receive a bill does not invalidate the tax or subsequent interest.
Please make checks payable to: Town of Hebron. Payments may be mailed to: Tax Collector, 15 Gilead Street, Hebron, CT 06248. If desired, send a stamped, self-addressed envelope for a receipt. A secured drop-box is located on the lower level, south side of the building for payments (no cash). Please see the town website www.hebronct.com for on-line payment options.
The Collector’s office is located on the lower level of the Town Hall at 15 Gilead Street. Hours are Monday to Wednesday 8:00am to 4:00pm, Thursday 8:00am to 6:00pm, and Friday 8:00am to 1:00pm.
