The Town of Hebron and the Douglas Library of Hebron Board of Trustees are seeking an enthusiastic, energetic, community oriented, and technically proficient Director who will continue to develop the Library’s role as the cornerstone of the community’s intellectual and cultural life, as well as provide strategic direction for the Library’s future. The Director is responsible for administration of the library operation, including: the hiring and retention of staff; development and maintenance of collections of print and non-print materials and access to online resources; planning for ongoing program development; budgeting and financial management; communication and working relationships with Town government, community organizations and media; cooperative liaison with other libraries and agencies relevant to the delivery of library services; and guiding implementation of the recently adopted Strategic Plan. Qualifications include: Master of Library Science (MLS) or Master of Library and Information Studies (MLIS) from an ALA accredited program; with increasingly advanced public library administrative experience, including management of library support and professional staff; demonstrated experience in providing leadership. Assistant Town Clerk
The Town of Hebron is seeking an experienced administrative individual to serve as Assistant Town Clerk. This position is responsible for performing a wide range of clerical and record keeping duties for the smooth and efficient operation of the Town Clerk’s Office. Records and reports land records and vital statistics, issues licenses and permits; assists in the administration of elections; provides office administrative assistance to Town Clerk; and assumes responsibility of office in absence of Town Clerk. Three years of office administrative experience is required. Certification as a Municipal Clerk is preferred. Parks Division – Seasonal Park Maintainer I
The Town of Hebron Parks & Recreation Department is seeking a full time seasonal (until November 9, 2018) Maintainer I for the Parks Division. The selected individual will perform a wide variety of semi-skilled and unskilled labor tasks for all properties under Parks and Recreation management. Specific duties will include operation of equipment, painting, field preparation, mowing, landscape, carpentry, and other related duties as assigned by the Crew Leader or Parks & Recreation Director. Qualifications include, but are not limited to, related experience and a general knowledge of tools, equipment, and work methods and practices used in the general maintenance and improvement of public parks and recreation fields, facilities and buildings. Part-Time Library Assistant I
The Douglas Library of Hebron seeks a patron-centered, technologically savvy individual that can work independently and with others. This position requires the ability to answer questions in person, on the phone and though digital means. The Library Assistant I will need to interact with all age levels and must possess an above average understanding of library operations. Must be comfortable with MS Office and have basic library database knowledge. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; relevant work experience preferred. Starting wage is $10.60 per hour. Day time hours preferred, with some nights and Saturdays a must, 10-19 hours a week.
