Revaluation

Hebron 2021 Revaluation

Hebron is scheduled for a town wide revaluation for the October 1, 2021 Grand List and has contracted with eQuality Valuation Services from Waterbury CT to assist in the process.  This revaluation is an update and will not require all properties to have a full inspection. Data mailers will be sent to all improved properties which will list details such as style of house, room count and special features.  The participation of owners is critical in this phase of the process and we ask that you review the data, make any changes that may need to be addressed, and return the forms.  Our goal is to ensure that the data is correct so accurate values can be applied to all properties.  If you have any questions regarding the data mailers, or the process of the revaluation you can contact the Assessor’s office during Town Hall hours at 860-228-5971 ext. 147.

At this time there are two individuals from the revaluation company, eQuality Valuation Services LLC, doing inspections for such things as call backs or discrepancies from the data mailers property owners returned, building permits issued through the Building Department, or properties listed for sale with discrepancies for what is listed for sale and what data is listed on the assessor property cards.  The inspector doing residential properties is Paul Kennedy, and Jay Cembruch will be doing both residential and commercial properties.  Vehicle information for these individuals is available from the Assessor or the Town Manager’s offices, and their information has also been provided to the local Police Department.  All inspectors will have an ID badge and letters from the Assessor confirming their identity.  Also due to COVID19, they will be practicing social distancing and wearing protective equipment should any contact with property owners be required.    Feel free to contact the Assessor’s office if you have any questions or concerns.

  • Informal Hearings with Revaluation Company – November 29, 2021- December 9, 2021
  • Board of Assessment Appeals – TBA
  • Mill Rate Set – TBA
  • Tax Bills –  July 1, 2022
