Revenue Collector
The Town of Hebron is seeking a candidate to fill the position of Revenue Collector. This full-time appointed position reports to the Finance Director and is responsible for the billing and collection of current and delinquent taxes including real estate, motor vehicle and personal property taxes as well as sewer use and assessment, and revenues from all other departments. The successful candidate should be very familiar with the operation of a Tax Collector’s Office, have strong knowledge of office management procedures, strong computer skills and must be able to work with the public. Preference will be given to those individuals who have had experience in the position and are CCMC certified. Familiarity with Quality Data software is also preferred. Salary is $95,000 plus an excellent benefit package. This is a union position. There is no residency requirement. Applicants must be bondable. Finance Director
The Town of Hebron is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Finance Director. This position plans, organizes and supervises the accounting, payroll and purchasing operations of the town; prepares supporting data for the annual operating and capital improvement budget recommendations; and performs Treasurer duties as specified by statute and the Town Charter. This position oversees the Assessment and Revenue Departments. The position is responsible for coordinating the annual audit with the external auditors. Requires skilled use of Microsoft Office 365 and municipal financial software; the currently installed system is iVisions Tyler School ERP Pro. The position reports to the Town Manager. The successful candidate should have a bachelor’s degree and at least seven years of experience and be familiar with the principles and practices of municipal accounting. Truck Driver/Maintainer – Public Works Department
The Town of Hebron is seeking a candidate for the position of Truck Driver/Maintainer in the Public Works Department. Applicant must have a CDL Class A or B license. Must have a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED. Three years of truck driving experience including snow plowing and public works operations or an equivalent combination required. Experience should also include working with heavy trucks and heavy equipment. Applicant must be available nights and weekends during winter months. Must be able to pass a complete physical examination and pre-employment drug test. This is a bargaining unit position. Senior Services Dial-a-Ride Driver
The Russell Mercier Senior Center in Hebron is seeking a part-time dial-a-ride driver providing senior and adult disabled transportation utilizing a car, and 6, 10 and 20 passenger handicapped accessible buses to the Senior Center and to various activities of daily living in town and the surrounding areas. Driver must hold a valid Connecticut Driver License; CDL Class C preferred, Passenger Endorsement (Endorsement F) is required. Dial-a-Ride service is typically available Monday through Friday. Drivers are typically scheduled in accordance with transportation needs. Starting rate $22.00 per hour with no benefits. PREP- Before and After School Childcare Worker Hebron Parks & Recreation Department
The Town of Hebron Parks & Recreation Department is seeking a PREP Before and After School Childcare Worker to act as a positive role model and provide guidance and leadership. Under the direction of the Hebron Parks and Recreation Department’s Recreation Supervisor, the Before and After School staff is responsible for planning and implementing games and activities, serving snacks, and interacting with children grades Pre-K through 6th, and their families. Hours are to include some mornings and or afternoons as well as early dismissal days and school vacation days.
PREP care hours are Monday through Friday:
AM Care- 6:45 a.m. – 8:15, 8:30 a.m.
PM Care- 2:30 p.m. – 5 p.m.
PM Extended Care- 5:00 p.m. – 6 p.m.
The staff schedule is set by the Recreation Supervisor and is subject to change. Applicants must be responsible and reliable, working independently as well as with a team and providing a safe, caring, and enriching environment. The candidate must have a positive attitude and serve as a role model. All applicants must be able to pass a criminal record background check. Applicants must have a valid Connecticut Driver’s License.
