Transportation
Through the Russell Mercier Senior Center, transportation is coordinated for senior and adult
disabled individuals via two handicapped accessible vans and a town-owned car for medical care,
social trips, shopping, banking, or other needs.
Please call the Senior Center at 228-1700 to schedule transportation.
Weekly Shopping
The van leaves the Russell Mercier Senior Center each Friday at 8:30am (April-October) and at 10:00am (November -March) to transport individuals to the local banks, pharmacy, post office, and grocery stores and then out to lunch. The van alternates between shopping at Stop & Shop, Big Y, and Walmart. Periodically, there will be a shopping trip to other locations.
Food Bank/Food Truck
Transportation to the food bank/Food Truck is every other Tuesday. Pick-ups to begin between 10:30 – 10:45 based on who is signed up. Must pre-register by 10:00am the day before, 860-228-1700. Transportation is also available to the Food Bank at other times based on availability.

Medical Appointments
The van is available Monday through Friday 8:30AM to 3:45PM (unless the office is closed due to
inclement weather or a town holiday) to transport Hebron residents to medical appointments in
Hebron, Andover, Bolton, Colchester, Columbia, Glastonbury, Lebanon, Marlborough, Coventry, Cromwell, East Haddam, East Hampton, East Hartford, Haddam, Hartford, Manchester, Mansfield, Middletown, New Britain, Newington, Portland, Rocky Hill, Salem, South Windsor, Tolland, Vernon, West Hartford, Wethersfield, Windham, and UCONN Health Center.
